Cofense is seeking a motivated professional to join our Solutions Engineering team in the US. The Solutions Engineer is responsible for assisting customers with deploying and troubleshooting our next generation Phishing Threat Management solutions. The successful candidate will possess strong customer-facing engineering skills, be adept in multi-tasking under tight deadlines, and possess in-depth experience in server engineering and Microsoft & Linux technologies

  • Provide technical guidance remotely to customers deploying and operating Cofense’ s solutions
  • Document and address client specific needs that arise due to variability in computing environments
  • Act as Level 3 support for advanced troubleshooting activities
  • Develop Level 1 and Level 2 support reference documentation for Cofense’s Customer support staff
  • Develop proof of concept features and bug fixes as applicable
  • Document enhancement requests
  • Occasional travel as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Ability to interact with customers and properly manage the relationship and expectations
  • Experience troubleshooting solutions deployed in enterprise networks
  • Strong Linux troubleshooting – basic partitioning, system services, standard logs files, and system commands
  • Understanding of Proxies, LDAP/Active Directory, Mail Infrastructure and other enterprise related technologies
  • Strong network communication troubleshooting experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Basic understanding of enterprise email clients
  • Familiarity with SMTP, IMAP, HTTP and other Internet protocols
  • Ability to learn and apply new skills quickly and often
  • Ability to read and understand source code
  • Some programming or scripting experience (JavaScript, Java, Python, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Virtual Environments

Desired Skills

  • IT Security experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot Docker containers
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs
  • Experience with Elasticsearch
  • Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud providers
  • Understanding of regular expressions or Yara
  • Experience using git to manage application changes
  • Familiarity with Exchange/EWS administration
  • Previous training or management experience
  • Familiarity with Postgres or other relational database systems
  • Familiarity with Computer Incident Response/Forensics a plus
  • 4 year degree or applicable experience and certifications
